Braces and aligners

Two products offered by our clinic are Invisalign and MTM Clear Aligners. Both of these methods use clear, removable aligners to gradually move the position of your teeth to form a straighter smile. They fit snugly, are practically invisible when being worn, and are affordable options for straightening teeth.

After the initial consultation, your doctor will create a custom treatment plan for you using precise 3D images of your teeth taken with a scanner. This treatment plan will include the precise movements of your smile along with an estimate of how long your treatment will be. You can even see how your teeth will move over the course of your treatment and preview your new smile.

The aligners will come in a set, each one slightly different so that they gradually move your teeth into a new position. You will need to continuously wear the aligners for the majority of the day, at least 20 hours a day taking them out only to eat and brush and floss. Your doctor may recommend that you change your aligners weekly as your teeth are gently shifted into place and will likely schedule check-ups approximately every six weeks.

The length of your clear aligner treatment depends on the severity of the case, but the average case for adults takes about 12 months. After treatment is complete, it’s recommended that you wear a retainer.
